You are not able to schedule Service Assignment to an Employee in Resource Scheduler. Working hours of the Employee are greyed out.
Reproducing the Issue
Prerequisite: You have already created and sent Service Ticket item as demand to Resource Scheduler.
Go to Resource Scheduler work centre.
Go to Resource Scheduler view.
Notice that Employee ABC (ABC represents the name of an Employee) is greyed out and you are not able to assign him to a Service Assignment.
You expect that you are able to assign (schedule) Service Assignment to the Employee since he has working hours maintained.
Employee ABC have been assigned to Org Unit DEF (DEF represents the Organisational Unit name) as Primary employee, and during the same period of time assigned to Org Unit GHI (GHI represents the Organisational Unit name) as Temporary employee.
This is the expected system behaviour. If the expectation is to make the Employee available in Primary Org during the temporary assignment, following scoping question must be reviewed: For employees with secondary org assignment, consider the working hours in primary org for scheduling?.
Go to Business Configuration work centre.
Go to Implementation Projects view.
Select Implementation Project JKL (JKL repesents the name of the project).
Click Next until you reach Questions tab.
Extend General Business Data and then Resource Scheduler.
Check question - For employees with secondary org assignment, consider the working hours in primary org for scheduling?
- Click Next and save your changes.
