2565811 - Accruals Not Calculated for Employees

Symptom

In Business Configuration work center, in Time Accounts - <Country> activity, you configured the Time Account Rules to Accrue depending on the Age of the Employees at the start of every month. But the Accruals for Time Account XYZ did not happen for Employee hired for the Country, who is of Age XX in the system.

Reproducing the Issue

To create the Accrual Rules:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center
  2. Select Implementation Projects view or Overview
  3. Search and Open the activity for Time Accounts - <Country>
  4. Select Maintain Time Account Rules
  5. Choose the respective Time Account Type
  6. Create an Accrual Rule depending on the Age of the Employees
  7. Save and Close

To assign the Time Account XYZ to the Employee and to check if Accruals are calculated:

  1. Go to Time Administration workcenter
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Show All Employees and find the Employee  
  4. Select Edit
  5. Go to Time Profile tab
  6. Select the Time Profile entry
  7. Go to the Time Account Rules tab
  8. Select Add Row and Assign Time Account XYZ to the Employee
  9. Select Time Account Balances tab
  10. Select the respective Time Account XYZ
  11. Go to Postings tab
  12. There is no Posting of type Accrual which happens Automatically at the start of every month

Cause

The Accrual Rules which you configured depending on the Age XX of the Employee, requires a reference to the Date of Birth of the Employee.

To check if Date of Birth is available in the Personnel File of the Employee:

  1. Go to Personnel Administration work center
  2. Select Employees view
  3. Search for Employee ID
  4. Select Edit
  5. Go to General tab

Since the Date of Birth is not available in the Personnel file of the Employee, the system will not able to calculate the Age XX of the Employee. Therefore, Accruals will not be automatically calculated in the system.

Resolution

Maintain the Date of Birth in the Personnel file of the Employee whose Accruals are not automatically calculated in the system.

  1. Go to Personnel Administration work center
  2. Select Employees view
  3. Search for Employee ID
  4. Select Edit
  5. Navigate to Personal Data tab
  6. Go to Biographical Data
  7. Fill the Date of Birth
  8. Save and Close
