We have following scenario
Scenario 1: One and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in any workweek, in excess of eight hours up to and including 12 hours in any workday, and for the first eight hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek
Scenario 2: One and one-half times the regular rate of pay for any hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek, 12 hours per workday, or 12 consecutive hours without regard to the starting and ending time of the workday
How could be check the consecutive day and hours in time valuation. or Suggest How could be handled these type of scenarios?
Employee Central 2.0
Please find below guidelines and try to implement them:
For scenario 1
1) Split off everything which is above 8 hours (valuate-per-day) that's all overtime
2) Use the reminder to valuate-per-sheet and cap at 40 hours -> also overtime
3) The seventh consecutive day-thing only works if their work week is the time sheet period.
You can use a 'counting events' valuation to see whether the EE worked all 6 days before the last day, then use the result as a comparison group to route the time records of the last day to overtime.
Only works if you know the last day of their work week (no rotating shift, etc).
For Scenario 2
Do similar configuration but there is no possibility to calculate 'consecutive hours'.
Because if you have duration-based recording, it's not possible, and if you have clock-time based, we cannot know whether a gap between time records is a break or something else.
