2558223 - Employee Central: Import Employee Data - New UI

Previously, when you downloaded a template, all data fields were visible in the downloaded template. Now, you can choose data fields, with the exception of the standard fields, that you would want to appear in the downloaded template.

From the 1711 release you will land on a new "Employee Data Imports" UI.

Limitations: Basic User Data import 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Basic User Data import options are not fully supported > Please check the option "More Options" to see what is currently available. Please check the Implementation Guide to understand further: Configuring Additional Options with Basic Imports

Download Template:

When downloading an Import Template, you now have the option to specify which columns you wish to include in the Import Template you download.

You will be forced to download the pre-required fields that are needed for the import to work correctly (e.g. Job History template will force "user-id", "start-date", "seq-number" to be included).

This helps easily download a custom import template to perform Partial Imports -:

• Partial Imports: Unsupported Fields (NOTE: You do not need to include all columns with &&NO_OVERWRITE&& - you can just include the columns you wish to update and the Import Framework will treat all fields not included in the import as &&NO_OVERWRITE&&)

Update:

Currently an issue with supporting different date formats in the new UI, other than English US date format.
