2557071 - Error: The database driver is misconfigured in SAP Analytics Cloud when creating a SQL connection

Getting below message when trying to create a SQL connection in SAP Analytics Cloud:

"The database driver is misconfigured. Contact your SAP Analytics Cloud agent administrator."

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• Microsoft SQL Server 2014
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008

After verifying that SAP Cloud Connector and SAP Analytics Cloud Agent are working properly:

1. Follow the steps in the guide - https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/0d5ffbb6951b45778c1a90ffd0114f04.html
2. Fill the connection details fields.
3. Click the "Create" button and the mentioned error appears

The MS SQL driver is obsolete.

Download and configure the latest available MS SQL Server JDBC driver from the Microsoft Website. At the time of writing this article, the latest is version 6.2.

If using the latest driver, as a workaround, change the driverconfig.properties (which the Environment variable "SAP_CLOUD_AGENT_PROPERTIES_PATH" points to) file to point to a later version of MS SQL Server.
