2549072 - Ticket Subject Cannot Be Changed


You want to change the subject of a Service Ticket after the Ticket is created.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Service Workcenter
  2. Navigate to Tickets View
  3. Select the ticket ABC()where ABC is the Ticket ID)
  4. Click on Edit
  5. There is no option to edit the ticket subject


The ticket subject cannot be changed after the ticket has been created. It is only possible to enter the subject during ticket creation. This is a standard system behavior.


As a workaround, a new ticket can be created by copying the existing ticket and required subject can be entered during ticket creation.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Service workcenter
  2. Navigate to Tickets View
  3. Open the ticket ABC
  4. Click on Copy
  5. Enter the required details
  6. Click on Save
