2544004 - Money Format on statements is different from comp form

Symptom

Money format on the statements (using standard statement template) are separated by decimals (Eg: €41.972), spaces (Eg: €34 929) instead of comma as on compensation forms.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
  • Talent Management
  • Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to compensation template and generate statements for completed forms.
  • Extract the PDF and notice that the money format for the employees on the statements doesn't match with the money format on the forms.

Cause

Starting in release b1705 release, the system will now check on the locale of the statement recipient and display the number in the local format.

Example: French locale uses space as a grouping separator and comma as a decimal separator so ($23,569) will be written as (€23 569) and (100.00%) will be written as (100,00%).

Resolution

To disable this feature kindly go to:

Action for all Plans > Company settings and check the "Disable locale based number format" switch.
