SuccessFactors BIZX: Succession Management
Reproducing the Issue
1. Go to SOC>>> Add nomination for an employee.
2. Search a user “Grant”>>> This user can’t be searched out.
3. Checking families and roles, roles and jobcode of this user is mapped well.
Some jobcode usage is set as Succession while some jobcode usage is set as Default.
User Grant’s jobcode usage is default.
For search inbox, if all jobcodes are mapped as usage=default in families and roles, then it will fetch default usage under search tab. However if at least one jobcode is mapped as usage=Succession, it will only search user with job usage=Succession.
In this scenario, Both Succession and default are set as usage, so only users with jobcode mapped as usage=succession will be searched out, the jobcode with default usage will be excluded. That’s why there were no results when searching user “Grant”.
To ensure all the users can be searched out, we can try to find the jobcode which is mapped as usage=Succession and changed it to usage=Default. Then all the users will be searched out in the result.
Or we also can change the jobcode's usage usage=Succession for which we need to search out.
Path: Go to Families and roles >>> Select a role>>> Edit Properties>>> change usage>>> save.
Note: Please note that the usage here is just a possible reason for this issue, it doesn't mean that users will be searched out for sure if usage is set well. We need to check the usage setting to look for the possible reason when troubleshooting.
