Select a Screen field for a Characteristic in Edit embedded report and click apply. The filter will not be applied to the Embedded report.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go the work center view of the embedded report.
- Click Adapt.
- Select Edit Master Layout.
- Click Edit embedded report.
- Select a Screenfield for a Characteristic under Filter tab or under the Selections tab.
- Click Apply.
The settings will not be saved.
Another scenario: The settings are not saved and if you click Edit Embedded report again, you will not see the screenfield you have chosen for the parameter.
You have made changes to the report (for example to the view / selection) after embedding it. Hence the report meta data has changed, however the embedded report is not updated.
If the field in question disappears entirely, it means that the field you are trying to filter on was added to the report after creating the embedded report. Hence the field will not be recognised eventhough the field is there in the underlying report.
You will have to remove the embedded report and add it again to the view. This will recognise the new added fields in the report. Now if you choose the screenfield for a parameter it will be saved.
