2537507 - Restrict Applying Consecutive Leave In Time Off

Symptom

You want to create a Take Rule where the employee should not be allowed to take more than 3 consecutive days of certain leave.

Environment

SuccessFactors - Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Select any employee;
  2. Go to time off;
  3. Try to request a leave for the third time consecutively;
  4. An error should be displayed there but this is not happening;

Resolution

This can be achieved using a Take Rule. Use the rule function 'Is Consecutive Limit for Time Type Reached()' in the rule.

The rule needs to be assigned to the Time Type that you want to apply this logic and for more details on this function, please refer to our implementation guide Employee Central Time Off: Rules and Concepts
