After creating an opportunity, you delete the standard priority (Normal) and are getting error "Please correct the priority", even though it's not a mandatory field.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Opportunities view.
- Click in any opportunity.
- Click in Edit.
- Delete the Priority.
- Click in Save.
- Error message "Please correct the prority" appears.
The error message also appears even after hiding the Priority field through personalization.
The Priority field is defaulted, and clearing it off will raise the error message. Suppressing this will be an incompatible change so it cannot be removed.
This is the expected system behaviour.
The functionality to suppress the error message is planned to be made available in a higher release. At this point in time, we are not in a position to provide more accurate information on date and/or timelines for this future release.
Until then, assign a default value to priority to avoid the error.
