When trying to send a Talent Community Mail via RMK and we are having issues getting the html to save. When the html is pasted into the editor and a test email sent, the output is perfect, but when the content is saved and you try to re-enter RMK to resend, the output is not the same and it is clear that half the code has disappeared.


Limitation of Email Characters


The TCM emails in the Recruiting Dashboard have a Character Count limit of 32000 characters. The full length of the code the client is seeking to add is 67400. When the email saves, the system only allows the first 32000 charachers to be retained.

The customer will need to log an enhancement request in order to extend the character count.

As a note, the system does recognize spaces as characters, so it would be possible to retain more of the desired content by compressing the html code (removing the spaces used to format the code), in order to meet the character limitations of the system.

It looks like the email content for this segment is ~50,000 characters after running a compression tool, which is still too large for the system, but the customer should be able to adjust the content to meet the 32000 character limit.
