SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management
Talent Search v2
Reproducing the Issue
Succession > Talent Search > Select people > Compare > Configure Fields > Ratings Tab
The ratings that display in the Compare section will use rating normalization instead of a round down or round up function. The rating labels that will be displayed is controlled by:
Admin Center > Succession > Matrix Grid Rating Scale.
So for example, you have ratings that are added to the system through import or calculated ratings from PM Form and the ratings contain decimal points e.g. 4.27. Talent search will find a way to fit these ratings to any of rating configured in Matrix Grid Rating Scales. Given that your rating scale in Matrix grid is a 5 point scale. A 4.27 rating will fall under 5.0 following the process of normalization instead of 4.0 when using round off or round down process.
I created a sample below to better understand how rating normalization works using a 5 point scale:
1.0 - 1.8 is equal to 1 or (Low) in Talent search.
1.8 to 2.6 is equal to 2 or (Low-Medium) in Talent search.
2.6 to 3.4 is equal to 3 or (Medium) in Talent search.
3.4 to 4.2 is equal to 4 or (Medium-High) in Talent Search.
4.2 to 5.0 is equal to 5 or (High) in Talent Search.
For the meantime, the ratings that displays here are not yet configurable as it is always nomalized as the rating sources come from different modules. This is the current design to make sure that the ratings calculated here are acuurately listed/identified to a certain scale point.
