How to create or edit National ID Card formats via Manage Business Configuration (BCUI)

Employee Central

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration
2. Unable to expand the HRIS Element "nationalIdCard" (there is no arrow icon to expand the element view).

Prior to 1702 release, Manage Business Configuration (BCUI) only allowed you to manage the field configuration of the "nationalIdCard" element.

After the 1702 release, you can maintain the nationalIdCard "reg-ex" configuration in Manage Business Configuration. This update requires that both Data Model XML files (Succession Data Model and Country Specific Succession Data Model) are exported and re-imported to update the Manage Business Configuration UI.

If you are unable to see the arrow next to "nationalIdCard" to expand the element configuration, then you will need to open a Support case to have the XML's reloaded (exported and imported). This process will have no impact on configuration. If you have access to Provisioning, then you will not need to engage with Product Support, and instead you can follow these steps below.

Please make sure you follow the below process so that Manage Business Configuration UI is rebuilt successfully.

1. Navigate to Provisioning > Import/Export Data Model
2. Export the Data Model XML. Then Import the same file again
3. Navigate to Provisioning > Monitor Jobs > Ensure that the "Synchronize Business Configuration" job is completed
4. Navigate to Provisioning > Import/Export Country Specific XML for Succession Data Model
5. Export the Country Specific XML for Succession Data Model XML. Then Import the same file again
6. Navigate to Provisioning > Monitor Jobs > Ensure that the "Synchronize Business Configuration" job is completed

Once both Data Models are re-imported as per the process above, then log into the system and navigate to Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration and you will find the nationalIdCard reg-ex configurations are now available -:
