2520416 - Not Able to Add Prefix to Contacts on the Quick Create Screen

Symptom

Your requirement is to add the Prefix while creating the Contacts in the Customers workcenter. But you are not able to see the field Prefix on the Quick Create screen.

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Customers workcenter
  2. Go to Contacts view
  3. Select New
  4. Not able to see the Prefix field

Cause

The field Prefix was not added to the screen via Personalize or Adapt mode.

Resolution

In Silveright client, you may add the Prefix field to the Quick Create screen using the below steps:

  1. Login to the Silverlight client
  2. Go to Customers workcenter
  3. Go to Contacts view
  4. Select New
  5. Select Personalize at the top right corner of the Quick Create screen
  6. Add the field Prefix
  7. Select Save

 

In HTML5 client, if the field Prefix is not available in the Personalize screen, then follow the below steps in the Adapt mode:

  1. Login to the HTML5 client
  2. Go to Customers work center
  3. Go to Contacts view
  4. Select Adapt button at the top right of the screen
  5. Select Edit Master Layout
  6. Select New button in the Contacts view
  7. Mouse Over on any field
  8. A new set of icons pops down
  9. To Add Items, select the + button and choose Add Fields
  10. New window Additional Fields pops up
  11. Checkmark the Label name Prefix
  12. Select Apply
  13. Select End Layout Changes

Now you may add the Prefix while creating Contacts in your system.

 

Currently, we do not have a fine-tuning activity in Business Configuration workcenter, where we can maintain the additional name Prefixes for the Contacts, apart from those delivered by SAP.
