How do I map Roles Using SAML Attributes in SAP Analytics Cloud?

***BEFORE CONTINUING PLEASE CONFIRM IF YOU ARE HOSTED IN AN SAP DATA CENTRE OR A NON-SAP DATA CENTRE***

If your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant has a single digit region host, eg. eu1 then your tenant is hosted on an SAP Data Centre (NEO)

If your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant has a double digit region host, eg. us10, then your tenant is hosted on a Non-SAP Data Centre (Cloud Foundry (CF/AWS))

Solution for Non-SAP Data Centres (Cloud Foundry (CF/AWS))

1. Enable the steps outlined in document 'Enabling a Custom SAML Identity Provider' on your custom IDP.
2. Ensure that you map the attribute name "Groups" to "sac".

NOTE: The 'Note' section beneath step 6 in the document states which attributes are mandatory and which attributes are optional for Non-SAP Data Centre customers, please take care when mapping this.

Solution for SAP Data Centre (Neo):

1. Enable the steps outlined in document 'Enabling a Custom SAML Identity Provider' on your custom IDP.
2. Before completing any further steps you must submit an SAP Product Support case using the component: LOD-ANA-BI. In the support ticket, indicate that you want to map SAML attributes to user profiles, and include your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant URL.
3. To map SAML attibutes to users in your SAC tenant, please follow the steps outline in document: 'Mapping SAML Attributes to Users'.
4. To map roles using SAML attributes in your SAC tenant, please follow the steps outline in document: 'Mapping Roles Using SAML Attributes'.
