With the Sales Activity Adviser, you can help your sales representatives win more deals by suggesting activities or best practices that they could include in their active opportunities.
This document shows how administrator can:
1. Create a best practice activity.
2. Assign activity to sales phase.
3. Add activity to opportunity.
To do the above, please first follow the below steps:
- Go to the Business Configuration work center.
- Chose Implementation Projects view.
- Select Project.
- Select Open Activity List.
- Select Fine Tune tab.
- Search for Sales Assistance.
- Select Maintain Activities.
You will see all the activities categorised under fine tune that have been defined for the implementation. When you are ready to add a new activity, follow step 8.
8. Select the Add Row button (for the activity code you add, they need to begin with letter 'Z' and have to be unique). The description should also accurately reflects the activity in few words. For the activity type, you can chose between the below:
9. Select Save and Close.
Now you will need to assign the activity to a particular Sales Phase.
10. Select Assign Activities to Sales Phases (Activity can be ordered to determine where it appears in the sales phase and can be sequenced using the column).
11. Chose the Activity from the available under the Activities tab.
12. Activity can also be marqued as Mandatory by selecting the radio button. Marking Activity as Mandatory means that a warning message will always be displayed on the Opportunity as long as the concerned task remains incomplete.
With Open Opportunity please follow the below steps:
13. Select Sales Activities tab (The activity adviser shows a list of activities categorised by Sales Phase).
14. To add activity, first select activity from the list and add it to your opportunity. The activity gets added to the respective activity type on the opportunity.
Here are couple of key point to remind:
Activity Code needs to beginning with letter 'Z'.
Mandatory activities cause warning messages to appear as long as activity is incomplete.
With the sales activity adviser. You can make sure your sales representative follows the best practices to enable them to win more deals.
