2514459 - Error Message: 'Sales Order Item is Disabled for Posting; Item is Completed' When You Check A Purchase Order

Symptom

Received error message "Sales Order item is disabled for posting; item is completed" occurs when you try to check the consistency for a purchase order.

Environment

SAP Business Bydesign All versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
  2. Select Purchase Orders view.
  3. Select Purchase Order XXX (XXX stands for the purchase order ID).
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click Check, andy ou receive an error message "Sales Order item is disabled for posting; item is completed".

Cause

The item in purchase order is a service fee item, which has account assignment of sales order line item that is in finished status.

Resolution

  1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
  2. Select Purchase Orders view.
  3. Select Purchase Order XXX.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select the Line Item.
  6. Go to Account Assignment Tab.
  7. Under Account Assignment Details, you can see that the service fee is assigned to sales order YYY (YYY stands for sales order ID) and line item ZZZ (ZZZ stands for line item ID).
  8. Go to Sales Order View.
  9. Search for Sales Order YYY.
  10. Click View All.

  You can see that line item ZZZ has fulfilment status as finished and it is disabled for posting. System behavior is correct.
