2504771 - Requisition Posted Job is Failing

Symptom

The scheduled job "Requisition Posted" is failing in Provisioning due to Invalid User.

Environment

SuccessFactors Recruiting Management - All Versions

Cause

This is an asynchronous email trigger that can be configured from Admin Tools-> Recruiting Email Triggers. Enabling the trigger creates and schedules a new quartz job. Disabling the trigger deletes the quartz job running.

This job picks all the job req postings that were posted newly or updated on the current day and sends a consolidated email to the trigger recipients.

This job runs twice every day @8am and 8pm server time.

The user who is logged to the application which triggers the job will be defined as the Job Owner. If this user is later inactivated, the Job will start to fail due to "Invalid User/ Invalid Job Owner".

Resolution

in order to have the job re-triggered with a different Job Owner, customer must follow the steps below:

a. Log in to SuccessFactors;
b. Go to Admin Center -> Recruiting -> Recruiting Email Trigger;
c. Find the Email Trigger: Requisition Posted;
d. Disable the Trigger and Save the Changes applied;

This should stop the job currently running on customer's instance.

To re-trigger the job:

a. Log in to SuccessFactors as the User who will be the new owner of the Job (Recommended is having an Admin user who will not be deactivated);
b. Go to Admin Center -> Recruiting -> Recruiting Email Trigger;
c. Find the Email Trigger: Requisition Posted;
d. Enable the Trigger and Save the Changes applied;

This should re-trigger the job with a new Owner.
