2501125 - User Search: ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000


When searching for User IDs, over a 1000 records are placed using IDs seperated by commas, an error appears.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Users
  2. Search by User ID
  3. Make sure that the type of search is for ANY
  4. Place 1000+ User ID's seperated by commas in the search field box
  5. Click on Search


This error is due to a configuration having been changed from the default value


To fix this issue, a configuration file needs to be editided as it has been changed from the default value.

  1. Go to System Admin
  2. Configuration
  3. System Configuration
  4. edit SEARCH configuration file
  5. Look for maxInListItems
  6. Please change to 1000

Now the configuration file will be maxInListItems=1000

Attempting the same reproduction steps, the error will not appear.
