2496263 - SAP Analytics Cloud requires double authorization


  • Two different authorization pages are prompted in SAP Analytics Cloud (formerly known as SAP BusinessObjects Cloud / BOC).
  • The issue is only reproducible when using  an extended simple url (<customer>.<region> 
    • For Example: <customer>.<region><tenant number>
  • When using the simple url the tenant is accessible after entering email address and password on the SAP Cloud Identity authorization page.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to the tenant using an extended simple url (such as: <customer>.<region><tenant number>).
  2. Enter the email address and password on the Cloud ID logon page and click on Log On.
  3. Notice that another authorization page is prompted.


SAML authentication has defined incorrectly.


SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Operations needs to perform this action. In order to request it, you need to open a Product Support Incident using the link


  1. Enter the USER ID (defined in SAP Analytics Cloud) belongs to the email address provided in the first logon page and the same password on the second logon page.
  2. Use the simple url (<customer>.<region> only for login to the tenant.
