2491151 - Disable mobile deeplinks prompt for application or browser

Symptom

There is an option to open the course details page deeplinks directly through the mobile device's browser. Instead of being prompted for app or browser.

Environment

  • SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) - All Supported Versions

Cause

Native deep links for mobile devices have been enabled, this is enabled by default.

Resolution

Naviagte to LMS Admin >> System Admin >> Configuration >> System Configuration >> Direct_Link

Now search for the configuration settings that are outlined below.

Note that once you set the value as "false" for configuration "links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[x].enabled", you would no longer get the prompt for app or browser.

For iPad

links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[0].deviceID=iPad
links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[0].enabled=false

For iPhone

links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[1].deviceID=iPhone
links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[1].enabled=false

For Android Phone

links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[2].deviceID=AndroidPhone
links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[2].enabled=false

For Android Tablet

links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[3].deviceID=AndroidTablet
links[ITEM_DETAILS].mobileNativeDeepLinks[3].enabled=false
