In a scheduled offering which had some enrolled and few waitlist user. We also set 'registration cut-off' date as start date. But after start date, for the 'waitlist' employees, they still has scheduled offering in their learning assignment tile and its status is 'view pending request'. Naturally I think after course starts, their status should be cleared. So how can we remove it and if admin assigned how can we also remove item from their learning assignment tile.

The problem here is two fold
1) To remove the pending request.
2) To remove the item from the user's learning plan if the SO has started and the users are not enrolled in the SO and are in the status of pending or waitlist.
Explaination on the pointers respectively -
1) To remove the pending request -
You can remove a pending request via the APM - item request clean up
Item Request Clean-up is an automatic process which purges item requests identified as no longer valid.
Navigation path System Admin --> Automatic Processes --> Item Request Clean up.
The item request clean up automatic process is intended to purges item requests that you identify as no longer valid. The number of days that you insert in the Thresholdbox determines the requests that the system purges. For example, if you insert 365 in the Thresholdbox, then the system purges all requests that were made more than 365.
Note - The clean up cannot be done from SO to SO basis, e.g. if you want that after the SO starts all those user who are not able to successfully register get a clean up of request, that is not possible.
2) To remove the item from the user's learning plan if the SO has started and the users are not enrolled in the SO and are in the status of pending or waitlist -
There is no procedure in the system to remove the item from the user's learning plan if the users are not enrolled in the offering - like if user's are waitlist.
The reason for this design is - user may want to look out for other available offering in the system which are or would be available in future for the same item.
[The future offerings will show up in the Available offering tile if the item is in the Learning Plan of user]
However there is a setting under -
- Remove associated item from learning plan when admin withdraws User(s) from scheduled offering(s):
[Navigation Path : System Admin - > Configuration - > Registration Settings]
If you enable this if the user withdraws a user from an SO it will remove the corresponding item from the user's learning plan, but again the admin have to take the action of withdrawing.
