When new external candidates receive a private posting link (RCM Feature) for a job requisition and they apply for the job, an RMK profile is not created.
This may cause confusion sometimes to the candidates when they try to access their profile in RMK because it does not exist, nor is there a way they can create or update their RMK profile and have it linked to the candidate profile in RCM that was just created.
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Execution (Rx) - All versions with Recruiting Management (RCM) integrated with Recruiting Marketing (RMK)
This system behavior points out to a limitation currently present in the way the system is designed.
Because Recruiting Marketing is the front end of the application process for candidates that are looking for jobs, its integration with Recruiting Management is limited to the public job advertisement and marketing campaigns. The private posting functionality as well as all other functionalities related to the application tracking are only present on the Recruiting Management side of the system, and they are not connected to Recruiting Marketing. In a normal workflow, candidates will apply for jobs from Recruiting Marketing, create their RMK candidate profile and finish the application in Recruiting Management (which includes creating a new RCM candidate profile behind the scenes). This is a seamless process for candidates, so they will not realize the different systems involved. What happens when they are applying through a private posting link is that they are directly landing on a Recruiting Management page, which means no Recruiting Marketing profile will be created in this case.
The solution currently available for candidates facing this situation at this time is to manually create a candidate profile in Recruiting Marketing.
As a permanent solution, this functionality can be improved and released in the current versions of the product.
