2481959 - "non-working day" alert - Holiday

Symptom

At the moment of creating a scheduled offering in a holiday date, the system doesn't show the "non-working day" alert.

Reproducing the Issue

There are two ways to reproduce the issue.

a) In the Learning admin side, click:

  1. Learning >
  2. Scheduled Offerings >
  3. Add New >
  4. Add the desired Item in the Summary Information block >
  5. Add the Start Date and Start Time in the Scheduled Information block >
  6. Click Preview in the Scheduled Information block >
  7. The "non-working day" alert will not appear.

b) In the Learning admin side, click:

  1. Learning >
  2. Scheduled Offerings >
  3. Add New >
  4. Add the desired Item in the Summary Information block >
  5. Add the Start Date and Start Time in the Scheduled Information block >
  6. Add the desired Facility in the Resources block >
  7. The "non-working day" alert will not appear.

Resolution

Each way to reproduce the issue has its explanation.

a) To receive the "non-working day" alert is necessary to select the desired Facility in the Resources block. With it, it will happen a system check and if the date inserted is a holiday to that Facility, the alert will come up.

b) Even after inserting a holiday date and selecting the desired Facility, the "non-working day" alert does not come up. In order to fix it, there are two settings to be checked in the system:

First: In the Learning admin side, click:

  1. References >
  2. Calendars & Time >
  3. Holiday Profiles >
  4. Search for the desired profile and access it >
  5. Click the Holidays tab and take a look at the list of registered holidays.
  6. If the expected holiday is not in the list yet, it is necessary to either add it clicking on add one or more from the list or, if you do not find it in the list of holidays, it is necessary to create it. Click References > Calendars & Time > Holidays > Add New.
  7. As soon as the holiday is part of the Holiday Profile, the "non-working day" alert will come up once this date is inserted in the Start Date box of the scheduled offering.

Second: In the Learning admin side, click:

  1. References >
  2. Physical Resources >
  3. Facilities >
  4. Search for the desired facility and access it >
  5. Check if the Holiday Profile box is filled out with a profile >
  6. If not, populate it with a profile and click Apply Changes.
