2479642 - Candidate Search Error - Search Failed. Country is not configured or is not in the picklist - Recruiting Management

Candidate power search by country results in the error message:

"The system cannot find the country/region picklist using the user's country/region and was unable to derive the country/region from the Territory Entity object using the country/region picklist option ID from User Information. Please contact your administrator to make sure the country/region picklist exists, and Territory View is not missing or corrupted"

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Go to Recruiting → Candidates
2. Use search criteria "Basic Info" → "Country"
3. Select any country from the dropdown menu
4. Click "Search"
5. You will see the error.

As of now, we can detect that this scenario might be caused at least for these two reasons:

• When using Privacy Options, the country of the User performing Candidate Search has to respect the ISO Country names standards;
• The Country field is not configured as a picklist on either the Succession Data Model or on the Candidate Profile Template;

If client does not need to use Candidate Privacy, disable the feature on Provisioning

If client needs the above-mentioned feature, you need to do following:

1. On the Succession Data Model configure the user country field as country picklist
2. On the Candidate Profile Template, configure the country field as country picklist
3. The searcher should have a country value set in their employee profile

NOTE: It is recommended that country names which don't respect ISO standards are not used in the picklist.

E.g. the official country name according to ISO standards is "Korea, Republic Of" (and not "South Korea"). You can see the complete list here

Please also be aware that the country configuration must have the value for Country/Region Code (2 char) field as this is the basis in RCM in validating the permission. You can verify this from Manage Data → Country/Region → Search for the Country contained in the UDF File for the affected User.
