You cannot remove a Time Account for an employee.
Business Case: You want to remove an old Time Account and add new Time Account for your employees in the system.
Reproducing the Issue
1. Go to Time Administration workcenter.
2. Select Employees view.
3. Search an employee for whom you want to change the Time Accounts.
4. Edit Employee.
5. Remove the Account Time Type XXX.
Error Message : Sufficient quota required for posting on DD.MM.YYYY to account YYY.
For present Time Account Rule for YYY in the Business Configuration workcenter, the accrual rule is set as DD1 days on start of the year.
When you check the account postings of the Time Account YYY, the entitlement is DD2 days and subsequent deduction is DD2 days. This is contrary to the Accrual Rule maintained in the Business Configuration at present.
Now when the you are trying to change the Time Account, valuation is triggered from the Time Profile Start Date which creates postings to YYY according to the Accrual Rule maintained at present which is DD1 days. Since the deduction is DD2 days it throws an insufficient quota error.
The Accrual Rule of the Time Account YYY has been changed from DD2 days to DD1 days. After changing the Accrual Rule when you executed the correction run for all the employees from their respective Time Profile Start Date who have been assigned to this Time Account, it results in insufficient quota error.
You can split the Accrual Rule in the Time Account Rules activity into two periods.
