Few user in the system, does not respect the name format configuration.
Even though user is assigned as Last Name - First Name format, it is still showing First Name - Last Name format in Personal Information - Formal Name.
Legal entity has assigned the name format "07" which is Last Name - First Name format, but the user is not respecting the configuration.
Employee Central : Name Formatting
Issue might be because of following reason .
a. The details are updated by the employee via 'Edit' of the portlet and generally not via 'History'. This is the generic behaviour, and even other featurs like Workflows are not triggred when changes are made via 'History'.
b. The issue could be that the Formal Name field was filled in by the employee prior to the 'Name Format' feature being enabled in Provisioning, or the employee may have manually overwritten the default Formal Name.
As a workaround ,Once the Formal Name is cleared and saved, the expected Formal Name is being filled in.
Note: Ideally if all employees of the Legal Entity have to follow the same 'Formal Name' format, the 'Name Format Code' field need not be filled in the portlet. This is ideally required only if the particular employee requires to follow a Name Format different from that assigned to his/her Legal Entity.
