You have a requirement to assign an Employee to multiple Org Units and would like to, how this can be achieved in Cloud for Customer?
It is possible to assign an Employee to a maximum of two Org Units. One is Primary and another is Secondary.
How to assign Primary and Secondary Org Units to an Employee?
- Go to Organization Management workcenter
- Select Org Structure view
- Select required Org Unit
- Select the tab Employees
- In the Employees section, select the check box Primary
Now assign this Employee to second org unit by following above steps from 1 to 4 and keep the Primary flag un-checked.
How to assign Primary and Secondary Org Units to an Employee through Migration?
This can be performed through MIGRATION OF ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE activity. In the Employees sheet, under Roles column, you can define using below codes.
218 = manager, 219 = primary employee, 222 = non-primary employee
How to assign Primary and Secondary Org Units to an Employee through Integration(SAP CRM OnPremise)?
You can use the BADI method MAP_OUTBOUND of BAdI CRMPCD_EMPLOYEE_OUTBOUND (Enhancement Spot CRMPCD_EMPLOYEE_REPLICATION) on the CRM side to classify the org assignment per employee as primary or secondary.
