2449253 - Minimum Enrollments for Classes

Symptom

Under the class record, there are two fields called 'Minimum Enrollments' and 'Maximum Enrollments'. The 'Maximum Enrollments' field sets the maximum registrations limit, then the system changes the registration status for those users to 'Waitlisted' until an open seat becomes available in the class. This KBA provides more details on the purpose of the 'Minimum Enrollments' field.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Learning Administration > Learning Activities > Classes >
  2. Navigate to the class record >
  3. Scroll down until the Registration Settings section.

Resolution

At the class level, the 'Minimum Enrollments' field has no direct effects in the class. In this field, you can enter the minimum number of users who should register before an instructor conducts the class. However, an instructor can still proceed with the class with fewer users than the minimum registration number. For more details on this field, please see the guide: Class Details Fields.

At the system level, the 'Minimum Enrollments' field is used to trigger the Class Request Demand Met Email Notification process. Please see the guide: Scheduling the Class Request Demand Met Email Notification Process.
