You performed a change in an Account in the Sales Data and/or Relationships tab but this change does not appear in the Change History.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Customers Work Center -> Accounts View;
- Open Account XYZ (XYZ represents the ID);
- Perform a change in the Sales Data or in the Relantionships tab;
- Go to Changes tab;
- Press Go;
- The changes performed in those tabs do not appear in the results.
This is expected system behavior.
For some data like Sales Data or Relationships we do not write changes for the initial creation.
This is mainly done to reduce the data volume of the change-history storage because if an object is newly created you can see the data in the UI and entries in change history would be redundant.
Details in the changes tab appear as soon as the data is changed for the first time.
You can get the information about the person which created the data and when also by enabling Created On and Created By columns on the sales-data list.
(In a list of addresses you will not find columns like Created On and Created By and thus those changes are shown in Changes-tab also when creating an address).
