2440298 - Updated version of Report Library not being picked up in LMS

Symptom

After uploading a new version of the Plateau Report Library, the changes are not being picked up by the LMS

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • Learning Management System (LMS)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to Learning Admin
  2. Navigate to Reports (button in top right)
  3. Under the "Reports" tab, click "Export Library" in the header
  4. Make changes to the library as needed
  5. Under the Reports tab, click "Import"
  6. Choose the Report Library file
  7. Select to Overwrite the existing Libraries
  8. Click "Import" button
  9. Note that reports did not pick up the new theme

Cause

Library files are cached on the server side and a restart may be needed to pick up the new library

Resolution

  • The recommended approach is to plan Library updates just before bi-weekly patches
    • When patches are applied to LMS instances, all nodes are restarted
    • The new library file will then be loaded
  • For validated customers, please open a Support Incident with SuccessFactors support to follow-up on options on having the new file updated
