When we have defined to merge records in our Employee History, the system will only merge records where the EH fields are not changed, but we can define a setting at XML level that will ensure that even if some of these fields change, the records will be merged.
Variable Pay integrated with Employee Central
There is the possibility of setting fields as merge=”false” in the varPayEmpHistData section in the Data Model.
This means the merge process will ignore if that particular field has different values, so if only that field’s data is different while all other fields’ data are the same (except start date and end date), the system will still merge the records.
