In the Tickets work center, the Company is not receiving any E-mails from a specific Customer and it is not generating a Ticket as expected. Even if PDF is allowed in the activity in Business Configuration, system throws the error:
Upload of MIME type 'application/pdf' not permitted
Reproducing the Issue
If Customer sends an E-mail to the system which is already configured in the Company to receive E-mails, in the system it does not create any Ticket.
E-mails from the Customer contained a MIME Type, which is currently not permitted in the Company. However, if the Company wants to receive such E-mails, they must allow this MIME Type in the system. MIME Type ‘application/pdf’ is not available in the list of Allowed MIME Types in Business Configuration.
You may add the MIME Type using the below steps:
- Go to Business Configuration work center
- Select Implementation Projects view or Overview
- Search and Open the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload
- Select Add Row
- Make Z entry for MIME Type ‘application/pdf’ with quotes and select Allowed checkbox
- Select Save
Once it is allowed, the system will accept E-mails from a domain that have MIME Type.
