When we are trying to scrap product XYZ, an error message appears.
No matching inventory items found.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Internal Logistics Workcenter.
- Go to Common Tasks View and select Scrapping subview.
- Enter Site ID which is externally managed and Product ID details.
- Choose Next using guided activity, system throws error message: No matching inventory items found
The system displays the error message No Matching Inventory Items Found, even though in stock overview you are able to see that there are stock available for the product.
The stock visible for the product in the stock overview screen is reserved for a warehouse order. Hence there is no free stock available for scrapping.
We will be able to see the warehouse order for which the stock is reserved by making the warehouse order ID column visible in the stock overview screen via personalization option.
The system is working as designed.
