2416379 - How to know if my SuccessFactors instance is using Partial Single Sign-On?

Symptom

  • How to know if my SuccessFactors instance is using Partial Single Sign-On?
  • How can I tell if "Partial Organization SSO" is enabled?
  • How can I as the customer check if we are using Partial Organization Single Sign-On?
  • How do I check if a user us logging in using SSO or PWD?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • Partial Single Sign-On enabled instance

Resolution

Note: Partial SSO can only be enabled if Single Sign-On is enabled in the instance. If Single Sign-On is not enabled, the following information is void.

  1. Admin Center
  2. Go to Employee Import
  3. Click on "data import file template" and download the template.
  4. Check if the column named 'loginMethod' is there.
    • If it’s not in the file, then all users are using SSO.
    • If the loginMethod column is in the download template, Partial SSO is configured in the Data Model.
    • To check if you have users currently using Partial SSO follow the below steps.

      • If the loginMethod column for all users values is blank/empty or set to SSO then all users are using SSO.
      • If the loginMethod column for any user has the value PWD then they are using Partial SSO. These users will use their SF username/password to login.
