2413513 - How to Enable Service Agent to Record Absences via an ESS Activity

Symptom

You have a requirment to enable Service Agent to records their absences via an ESS activity, or the Resource Manager/Project Manager can record them from the Resource Profile

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Implementation Projects view
3. Select Edit Project Scope
4. Go to the step Questions
5. Select Human Resources
6. Select Time and Labor Management
7. Select Time Recording

Resolution

You can scope the below Question to enable Service Agent to records their absences via an ESS activity
Do you want your service agents to record absences without any approval workflow using employee self-service?

Please note that this a Lean version of Leave Request. You can refer to the below point for more information on this feature

1. It does not go for approval.
2. Specific Time Type can not be specified while applying for leave, it uses SAP standard Time Type for such Leave Requests
3. It can not be setup for collision with Time Type of other categories. Example- Productive Times
4. It is like an information about Service Agents unavailability for work and therefore useful from Service Agent's Availability Calendar perspective only
