You recieve an incident with the following exception relating to a communication system.
Exception: CX_MBF_EXCEPTION:An exception occurred.Receiver system could not be determined.Receiver system could not be determined.
Reproducing the Issue
- WoC: Application and User Management >> View: Web Service Message Monitoring
- Here you will find a Message with the Status 'Application Error'.
- The error text will display the error message 'CX_MBF_EXCEPTION:An exception occurred.Receiver system could not be determined.Receiver system could not be determined'
The cause for this can be due to the customer having created a new communication system with the same logic as the affected one. This means that the system cannot determine which Communication System is the correct one and will throw the exception.
To resolve this, simply delete the second communication system or delete the Business System ID under Business Instances.
