2412319 - Contact Phone Detail not Carried into Visit from the Contact Master Data

Symptom

When a Contact is added to a Visit, the value of fthe ield Phone is not transferred from the Contact record to the Contacts facet of the Visit.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Visits work center
  2. Go to Visits view
  3. Open the concerned Visit
  4. Navigate to the Contacts facet

Notice the Phone field is empty.

If you hover over the contact name, you will see in the Quick View Floorplan that the contact has a Phone maintained.

Cause

For Contact, only relationship address is determined (account - contact relationship). So if you add a contact which does not belong to the Account of the Visit/Opportunity, then the details will be empty.

Resolution

This is the designed functionality.
