This article explains the steps about how to mass upload attachments (background data) via SFTP import and some cautions when processing the job.

Step 1. Put the attachment file in SFTP correctly
We can refer to https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2218874 for details about how to prepare a zip file for importing attachments to a specific portlet in Employee Profile correctly.
Kindly noted that the csv file and all the attachment files should be put in the same directory, then zip all of them together with a file name not contain blank. Please don't put the csv file and the attachment files into a folder and then zip the folder. It will cause job failure definitely. It means we should zip all the files directly without putting them into a folder.
Additionally, it's recommend to edit the CSV file in notepad++ to avoid any file format issue.
Step2. Create a new job in Provisioning>>>Manage Scheduled Jobs. This step has to ben done by Cloud Product Support.
Please raise an incident to and mention this KB to create the job.
-->Define the job name and job owner>>>Job type: Live profile import>>>Live Profile Type: Background information>>>Check ‘Upload attachments along with Data’
-->Fill in SFTP login info and File access.
Please note file path is relative to the login user's home directory and the file name in this case is the ZIP file name, not refers to the CSV file. Because the import file includes csv file and attachment file which is zipped together. We can test connection in Server Access to check if the file can be connected successfully.
-->Then define the Job Occurrence and Notification as customer requested.
Step3. Run the job and all the attachment files in the import data should be there after the job executed.
