2400366 - "Recommended Programs" option not visible under Assignment Profile > Related

Symptom

  • The LMS_ADMIN configuration to enable Item Recommendations has been enabled (enableitemRecommendations=true)
  • Only Recommended Items is displayed, but not Recommended Programs in the Related section of Assignment Profiles

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to LMS Admin
  2. Navigate to System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > LMS_ADMIN > set enableitemrecommendations=true
  3. Navigate to Users > Assignment Profile > Search and Open any assignment Profile > You will only see "Recommended Items" under related

Cause

This is because there are missing workflows in the Role assigned to the Admin who is logged into LMS Admin

Resolution

  1. Navigate to System Admin > Security > Role Management
  2. Search for the Role assigned to you or Admins who should get access to "Recommended Programs"
  3. Select Workflows and click "Add one or more from the list"
  4. Add the following workflows:
    • User Management
      • "View Assignment Profile Recommended Programs"
      • "Edit Assignment Profile Recommended Programs" 
    • Search
      • "Search Program"
      • The green plus symbol (+) will not appear in the Recommended Programs related list if this workflow is not provided
  5. Click "Apply Changes"
  6. Now when you go back to assignment profile you should be able to see "Recommended Programs" as well
