You require to add a new Activity Type in the activity Opportunities in Business Configuration. But you do not have an option to Add a new Activity.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Business Configuration work center
- Select Implementation Projects view or Overview
- Search and Open the activity Opportunities
- Select Maintain Timeline
- Add Row button is not available
The Activity Timeline fine-tuning activity only allows to activate/deactivate an existing Activity (Example: Task, Appointment, Phone Call, Visit) and marking them as Internal /External. It does not allow to add a new Activity which is not already available. This is the reason why the Add Row is not offered out-of-the-box.
To add a new Activity in the Activity Timeline view is a development request which needs to be evaluated by Product Management.
If you have such a requirement, report an incident to SAP stating business reasons for such an Activity and we will assess the possibility in the system.
