In project planning view you can see for each team member the remaining work not calculated.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Project Management work center.
- Choose the Projects view.
- Choose the Project XYZ.
- Choose the Edit button
- Go to Work tab
- Here you can see the Remaining Work not calculated.
When the project is in planning remaining work is read only and is always equal to planned work.
When the project is released, remaining work becomes editable.
At this point in time, if there is a change in the planning(number of hours needed to complete the task)you have to change the remaining hours and not the planned hours.
Planned hours is supposed to reflect the initial planned hours and not interim changes.
Hence when the planned hours is changed manually the system do not adjust the remaining work.
And the actual hours are always subtracted from remaining hours.
System works as expected.
