2378409 - Differences Between Available Ad Hoc Reports in Succession Management

Symptom

This knowledge based article explains the differences between the Ad Hoc Reports available to report on named nominations: Succession, Inclusive Succession and Succession History.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Ad Hoc Reports

Resolution

  • Ad Hoc Reports Domains are enabled based on the features enabled in your instance.
  • To report on named nominations, three domains are available for Succession when using a position-based model: Succession, Inclusive Succession and Succession History.
  • When using the Role-Person nomination method, only Succession and Succession History are available.

Succession

  • Allows to report on current position (if you use position-based model), incumbent user information, nominee user information and nomination data.
  • When including columns from nominee user information or nomination data, this report will not include positions that do not have nominations.
  • If you don’t include nominee user information or nomination data, the report includes positions that do not have nominations.

Inclusive Succession

  • Allows to report on current position (if using the position-based model), incumbent user information, nominee user information and nomination data.
  • Includes positions that do not have any nominations, regardless of the columns selected.
  • Note: This is not available for Role-Person nomination method.

Succession History

  • This report allows you to report on Nomination History Information.
  • It also allows reporting on the following nomination changes (“Change Type” column):
    • Nomination: the nomination was first made
    • Status Changed: represents changes to the status of the nomination (e.g. Pending, Approved, Rejected, Change Pending, Removed, etc.)
    • Readiness Changed: the readiness of the nomination was changed
    • Ranking Changed: the ranking value was changed
    • Note Changed: the note was changed
    • Removed: the nomination was removed

  • The incumbent user data will always be based on the current incumbent of the position.

Succession (Talent Pool v2 based nominations)

  • In addition to the role-person and positon-based schemas, customers using MDF Talent Pools can create reports using this talent pool schema.
  • The starting position is excluded from the report.
  • Both active and inactive Talent Pools can be reported on.
  • Deleted Talent Pools cannot be reported on.
