2377364 - Advanced Reporting - Time account - Time OFF with Simulated Accrual values - Limitation explained

Symptom

  • Impossible to create a Reports showing "simulated" accrual values for employee.
  • In Time Account in Employee Central, I would like to create a report showing accruals not created as Postings

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Cause

  • In Employee Central, Portlet Manage Time OFF, the portlet TimeAccount offer the possibility to show accrual values for an employee.
  • This feature is called "Simulated Accrual" that calculated automatically in the porlet timeaccount, how many Accrual days earned for a time period.

Resolution

This is a known Reporting product limitation as Reporting tool can report only on physical data written in SuccessFactors. 
"Simulated Accrual" does simulate Accrual days for an employee but in Employee Central back-end, is not an actual field. 
For this reason, if you desire to report on Accrual time, Accrual data should be posted (section Time Account Posting).
Therefore, you should avoid to use "monthly generated Accrual" information that populated monthly your Accrual information for an employee.
