2374676 - PP3: Adding a Spot Bonus using the plus icon does not add Pay Component Type field in Compound API output

When adding a Spot Bonus (Pay Component Non Recurring), using the Pencil icon or the Plus ( + ) icon, the system does not add the Pay Component Type field in Compound API output

Login to EC and add a Spot Bonus for any employee using Pencil to insert a new record and/or plus ( + ) icon.
Check the Compund API output.

Result: Pay Component Type filed is missing.

Now add Spot Bonus using the "Award Spot Bonus" button, In this case the Compound API Output will have Pay Component Type field

Caused by a code defect, which is now fixed in the b1611 release (ECT-58949)

b1611: This Defect has been resolved with the b1611 Release. Please note that though the defect is resolved, you may identify data that was created prior to the 1611 release. Therefore please follow the steps below to correct the existing data.

b1902: The + button is removed from the UI in the 1902 release. The same functionality can be accessed using the pencil icon

 

Further Information

• Changing an existing Spot Bonus via the pencil icon will not cause an error but it will also not correct the record (if you change an incorrect record it will stay incorrect). This is the case even after the 1611 release.
• Records which were created using the + icon prior to the 1611 release are incorrect on the database and are not automatically corrected by the code correction in the 1611 release. The replication will not work for these records until they are corrected.

 

How to correct the data if you have data created prior to the 1611 release

The simplest way to correct these records is by exporting (via Person and Employment Export Ad Hoc report) and then re-importing the data (via Admin Center > Import Employee Data - import can be performed in Incremental Load mode). The import will fill the Pay Component Type field automatically.

1. Perform a Person and Employment Export ad hoc report on "Pay Component Non Recurring" columns
2. Use the Report export to create a fresh Pay Component Non Recurring import file (Admin Center > Import Employee Data > Download template)
3. Import the Pay Component Non Recurring import file in Full Purge mode
