The address of supplier duplicated after the Migration of Supplier activity.
Reproducing the Issue
1. Migrate the suppliers using Migration Of Supplier activity.
2. Go to Supplier Base workcenter and Supplier view.
3. Select a supplier.
4. Select View All at top right corner.
5. Navigate to Address tab under Communication.
You observe that the address is duplicated. Main address along with duplicate address.
For the supplier you have maintained one entry in the tab Addresses in migration template:
The entry has time zone UTC+1.
In the tab Contacts you maintained contact persons with business addresses, here the time zone is UTC+01 (please note the difference of the two time zone entries).
The program logic compares addresses of the tab Address and the Business Address maintained for the contacts.
If they are identical only one address will be created. However, for comparision we use the following fields:
As the time zone does not match in this example, second address gets created.
Here the value code is different for the two timezones. The logic determines that the two addresses are not equal and creates a second address line.
This is technically needed.
Please make sure that you use the identical timezones in addresses in the Migration of Supplier template.
