2360172 - You are not Able to Create the Facebook Social Channel

Symptom

You are trying to create a new Facebook channel, however the account details does not come up in the channel.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administration work center.
  2. Go to the Service & Social view.
  3. Select Social Media Channels.
  4. Create a new channel for Facebook.
    • Add ID, Secrete, Date, Log Level, Direct Message.
  5. Select Connect with Channel.
  6. Login to the Facebook page.
  7. Select Get Account Details.
  8. No account get picked.

Cause

You are logged into the different Facebook account.

Resolution

  1. Open two tabs in the browser.
  2. In first tab open the Silverlight UI of SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.
  3. In other tab open the Facebook page.
  4. Log-off from the Facebook account.
  5. In SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer, go to the Administration work center.
  6. Go to the Service & Social view.
  7. Select Social Media Channels.
  8. Create a new channel for Facebook.
    • Add ID, Secrete, Date, Log Level, Direct Message.
  9. Select Connect with Channel.
  10. Login to the Facebook page to which you intend to integrate SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.
  11. Select Get Account Details.
  12. The account details should get captured.
