Reproducing the Issue
- Add a Schedule Offering with 3 Segments to match the following requirement.
- Each of segment has one same Instructor and one same Equipment.
- 2 Users are enrolled.
- When setting Unit of Measure as Per User, the result of Subtotal/Total for the equipment is calculated as 20.
- When setting Unit of Measure as Per Person, the result of Subtotal/Total for the equipment is calculated as 90.
- The difference is not only restricted to cost for equipment, but also applied to cost for other sections such as Instructor, Material, Custom Resource.
- What is the difference between Per User and Per Person? Why is Subtotal/Total of cost calculated as different result?
- Set Unit of Measure as Per User:
- There are only 2 Users enrolled in the scheduled offering.
- So the result of Subtotal/Total for the equipment is calculated as 20 (2*10).
- Set Unit of Measure as Per Person:
- Person doesn't equal to User. Instead, here Person means the "Person-Time" who will attend each segment of the schedule offering.
- Person doesn't only include enrolled Users, but also include Instructor assigned to each segment.
- One individual (either User or Instructor) will be treated multiple times for different segments.
- So in this scenario, there are 9 persons (person-time): (2 Users + 1 Instructor) * 3 segment. As a result, Subtotal/Total for the equipment is calculated as 90 (9*10).
