How to define fields to be copied when creating a new position from Position Organization Chart?
You can define a business rule to define fields to be copied from the current position.
- Create a business rule with Default Position Attributes in Position Organization Chart scenario.
- Set up the rule according to the business requirement.
- Select this rule for the field Rule for Defining Copy-Relevant Position Fields under the tab UI Synchronizing in Position Management Settings.
Please note that the field Higher-Level Position should not be included in the above business rule. It is because the higher-level position is derived from the position hierarchy automatically by the system when you create a new peer-level or lower-level positon in Position Organization Chart.
